This week we encountered a mix up between classes - so I ended up attending multiple sessions.

One of these was a second year class practing long poses with a model, 30mins, 40mins, and a 1hr pose. Long poses is something we have not done, and leaves no room to hide mistakes through loose, quick lines. It was a challenge but very rewarding, and we discussed techniques such as use of horizontal and vertical lines to measure angles, distance, and proportion.

I think all of these observations are successful, and it taught me a lot about foreshortening as a key topic.

My other class was alligned with the planned teachings, and that focus was on perspective. We were taught how to draw in 1 and 2 point perspective, given exercises where we were to populate a scene with boxes in perspective. Ideas such as Overlap and Convergence, Diminution and Foreshortening were explained.
